Lexus Returns As Official Sponsor for Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW)

Lexus, one of the world’s leading luxury automotive brands, has confirmed its return as official sponsor of the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW). KLFW 2021, one of Malaysia’s most highly anticipated fashion events, will be making its return to the runway following its digital foray in 2020.
This celebration of arts, design and culture comes in times where entire industries, including the luxury lifestyle world, have had to rediscover what it means to connect with people on a deeper and more meaningful level.
In reaffirming Lexus’s continued commitment to supporting Malaysia’s fashion industry, Akio Takeyama, Deputy Chairman of Lexus Malaysia says, “Events in the previous year have made it abundantly clear how central the human connection is to excellence in design, be that in automotive technology or fashion. As a leading luxury brand that creates amazing experiences through empathy, a keen eye for detail and superior craftsmanship, Lexus is proud to once again partner this prestigious event in showcasing innovative and captivating designs.”
From the 3rd to the 7th of November, Lexus showcased the Lexus UX and LC500 Convertible in Pavilion KL. As part of this showcase, Lexus also provided luxury vehicles to chauffeur KLFW guests in style, comfort, and safety.
In addition to that, Lexus is also presenting for the first time the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Awards (KLFA) 2021 in conjunction with KLFW. With award categories including Brand of the Year, Outstanding Achievement, Fashion Icon of the Year and Fashion Business Leader Award, the event will fete 30 Malaysian designers and their muses in an evening of glamour, style, and excellence.
“Creative expression is integral to our identity as humans and Lexus has always shared a synergy with the world of arts and design,” said President of Lexus Malaysia Mr Ravindran K. “In the vein of our very own Lexus Design Award, the KL Fashion Awards will not only recognize the resilience and innovation displayed by these fashion designers in the previous year, but also serve as a platform to highlight undiscovered talents.”
