Latin Charity Ball
The Latin Women’s Association of Malaysia (LWAM) is thrilled to announce its XIV Latin Charity Ball, scheduled for November 11th at the prestigious Hilton Hotel Kuala Lumpur. With the theme Alma Latina; meaning Latin Soul, this event promises to be a captivating celebration of culture and a heartfelt display of charity.
Since its establishment in 1970, LWAM has been dedicated to sharing and promoting Latin culture while fostering strong connections within Malaysia’s diverse community.
Over the years, the organization has remained committed to assisting those in need, and the Latin Charity Ball is a cornerstone of these efforts.
The Latin Charity Ball serves as LWAM’s flagship fundraising event, representing the vibrant spirit of Latin culture. It attracts not only members of the Latin community but also individuals from various expat and local social groups in Kuala Lumpur.
Together, they come to celebrate the cultural heritage of Latin America, the Caribbean, and Spain, all while contributing to a noble cause that primarily focuses on the welfare of women and children.
This year, the sole beneficiary of the Latin Charity Ball is the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA).
LWAM is especially excited to return to the Hilton Kuala Lumpur after a five-year hiatus for this special occasion. The evening will commence with a captivating cocktail reception, accompanied by live music to set the mood. Subsequently, guests will be treated to breath-taking performances by Latin American, Caribbean, and local dancers. The night will come alive with the music of a talented Latin band and DJ, igniting the passion of Latin emotions in all attendees.
For those who have a passion for food, an exquisite four-course meal awaits, drawing inspiration from the rich flavours of Latin American, Caribbean, and Spanish cuisines. This culinary masterpiece has been carefully curated by Chef Kazi Hassan, and guests can enhance their dining experience by pairing these delectable dishes with wines from Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay.
Throughout the night, LWAM will host a silent auction featuring exquisite works of art and enticing items. Additionally, there will be a raffle to raise funds for BCWA. The success of this event and its charitable efforts would not be possible without the generous support of the Embassies of Latin America, the Caribbean, and Spain, as well as our dedicated donors, sponsors, and esteemed guests.
The XIV Latin Charity Ball is the culmination of collaborative efforts from various parties, including the dedicated team of the Latin Women’s Association of Malaysia.
