FGV Releases Short Film Nas Si Goreng for Aidilfitri Celebration

FGV Holdings Berhad (FGV), through its Saji brand, has launched a short film titled Nas Si Goreng, highlighting the themes of memories and love in the spirit of Aidilfitri.

Shammim Azad Kamruzaman, Officer-in-Charge of the Consumer Products Division and CEO of Delima Oil Products Sdn. Bhd., stated that the film conveys a message about how every taste—whether on the tongue or in the heart—carries meaning that unites people and creates cherished Aidilfitri memories.

The film follows the journey of a young man named Anas, who grew up watching his mother cook with sincerity and love.

“However, after his mother’s passing, Anas struggles to cope with the loss and begins ‘frying up stories’ to fill the emptiness in his heart.

“This story takes viewers on Anas’s emotional journey of accepting loss, healing grief, and realizing the importance of carrying on his mother’s legacy by preserving cherished memories through cooking.

“The short film features actors Fadhli Masoot as Anas, Nabila Huda as Anisa, and Liza Abdullah as the mother,” he said at the Saji 2025 Short Film Launch and Iftar with Orphans event recently.

During the event, Saji also celebrated 20 orphans from Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Perlindungan Al Haq Malaysia, presenting each child with an Aidilfitri donation of RM300 and a Saji & Seri Pelangi product hamper worth RM50.

Shammim further explained that sharing blessings is part of the Saji Seikhlas Hati program, which is not just a seasonal effort but a continuous initiative reflecting Saji’s commitment to giving back to the community.

Since 2023, the program has benefited nearly 3,000 underprivileged individuals across Malaysia.

“In February, Saji organized the ‘Back to School’ program at Giant Bandar Kinrara, helping 80 underprivileged students in the Klang Valley with school supplies for the 2025 session.

“As Aidilfitri approaches, Saji will assist 200 underprivileged individuals in Kuantan, Pahang, and contribute RM10,000 to repair the home of a storm victim,” he added.
